Job Overview:
- Supervise, monitor, and provide inputs to projects quality control activities.
- Coordinating all inspection activities being undertaken in their allocated area.
- Ensuring allocated inspectors are aware of quality requirements and are in possession of or have access to latest revision of project inspection and test plan.

- Ensuring that non-destructive testing is performed in timely manner and material traceability is recorded and submitted progressively to certification section.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Direct, supervise, and monitor inspection activities to assure product quality.
- Initiate evaluations of non-conforming items and report them accordingly.
- All inspection results need to be documented and if non-conformity exist, documentation should be raised to establish corrective action including root cause analysis (as deemed necessary).
- Provide interpretation of applicable codes specifications and customer requirements. Any deviation, clarification and waivers are to be documented through TDRQ.
- Verify QC Inspectors effectiveness though random audit on CIRs, Pipe mills, side works, etc.
- Exercise proactive approach in prevention of a problem by interfacing with production, engineers and management personnel.
- Liaise with customer representative for ensuring conformity and stage release for each activity denoted with the Project Quality Plan and ITP.
- Read and understand the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Read and understand drawing (Description, Rev, BOM, NDT, PWHT).
- Patrol inspection and ensure at lay down areas segregated / stainless steel & carbon steel.
- Ensure welder qualifications (Welder register) are in place and keep updated.
- Ensure procedure qualifications (WPS register) are in place and keep updated.
- Verify correct materials to be weld (Material traceability-MCR compare to BOM).
- Ensure correct equipment (Validation of welding machines).
- Ensure correct consumables and WPS numbers.
- Periodically check electrodes / flux oven calibration record at electrodes stores.
- Periodically check fit up prior to weld (Root gap, face, alignment, bevel angle, included angle, materials).
- Ensuring preheat temperature based on approved WPS prior to welding.
- Ensure tacking and welding carried out as per approved WPS.
- Ensuring that CIR reviewed correctly by inspectors (Computerize Inspection Request) prior submits to other section.
- Ensuring that PWHT, PMI and Hardness / Ferrites are carried out as per correct procedures.
- Follow up and monitor repair activities if any.
- Follow up daily NDT result from subcontractors' prior release to other section.
- Visit PCM to review and sign packages and other reports.
- Prepared daily activities report.
- High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conduct.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Under graduated Degree / Senior High School
- 10+ years Quality control or related experience in Weld Inspection
- AWS or CSWIP / API Qualification.
- Internal / External Auditor Qualification
- Computer Literate in MS Office Applications
